EXSet Execution & Settlement
Intesa Sanpaolo's end-to-end service, named EXSet - Execution & Settlement, is the result of almost 15 years of development and fine-tuning. The aim is to assist clients, with a particular focus on retail banks, and to understand their needs by covering the entire process, from execution to custody and tax services. The service is offered jointly by the Market Hub and Security Services teams.
The main benefits of the integrated EXSet service are:
- Automatic matching of the orders to be settled. Once executed on the market, orders can be grouped and settled automatically on the custody account, eliminating the need to instruct the OTC party of the transaction and thereby reducing trading costs
- Minimisation of rejected orders when sending the order and of fails during the settlement phase, thanks to the alignment of static data as part of the service of a single integrated provider, the reduction of manual processes and the option to activate proactive hedging of short positions, thanks to the prompt identification of any critical issues in the transaction value chain
- Optimisation of reconciliation processes, fee reporting and vendor due diligence activities
- Reduction in complexity and regulatory requirements regarding the execution and post-trade phases, including those relating to MiFID (including Best Execution, price transparency, and custody requirements), CSDR (which governs the settlement phase and future requirements from CSDR Refit) and SHRD II (which requires standardised and timely reporting on the instruments traded)
